“The owner should ask himself what he wants, and when he answers this question, he should look for a compatible partner or investor with whom he can achieve his goals. If he is considering to let a strategic partner enter into co-ownership, he must be aware that the company has practically already been sold, if he decides for a financial investor, he must find a suitable partner for those of his wishes that he wants to fulfill,” says Janez Škrubej, partner at Invera EP, a private equity fund management company.
