Entrio Group: From a fragmented market to the leading regional ticketing and events platform

Invera partnered with Entrio Group to scale a fast-growing technology venture into the region’s largest ticketing provider - consolidating the market, elevating product and service standards, and setting the foundation for pan-European expansion.

THE PARTNERSHIP AT A GLANCE

  • Market leader in Croatia, with a strengthening position across the region and beyond
  • Diversified revenue streams spanning music, sports, theatre, culture and own events
  • Set a world record for the highest number of tickets ever sold for a single concert
  • Expanding internationally through both organic growth and strategic acquisitions
  • Modernised tech stack built for global-scale performance and stability

A company reshaping the ticketing experience

Entrio began as a digital-first ticketing platform built to modernise a market defined by fragmentation, inefficiency, and outdated user experiences. From the outset, the company embraced a sales- and marketing-first mindset - focusing on rapid customer acquisition, strong promoter relationships, and clear product positioning. Its early traction came from offering what the region lacked: a fast, intuitive and transparent way to discover and purchase event tickets, supported by a modern interface and a robust self-service toolset for B2B clients. This approach made Entrio the preferred choice for small and mid-sized event promoters across Croatia, Slovenia and Bosnia, setting the foundation for broader regional scale.

The inflection point: a regional market ready for transformation

When Invera entered the picture, Entrio had strong traction in its core markets. The platform recorded the highest NPS score in Croatia and was widely recognised as offering a superior tech stack compared to regional competitors - on both the event organiser (B2B) and consumer (B2C) side.

But Entrio was approaching a pivotal moment - one shaped by three unique opportunities in the regional market:

  • Fragmented market: ticketing across the region remained dominated by local legacy providers with outdated systems and inconsistent service quality
  • Opportunity for regional scale: the market lacked a unified platform capable of becoming the region’s central event destination - a position that would unlock ecosystem-wide value and create structural competitive advantage
  • Growing demand for value-added capabilities: organisers were increasingly seeking partners able to improve their operations through data, insights, and superior sales enablement, moving beyond the traditional transactional role of ticketing providers

With these dynamics in place, Entrio was ready to transition from venture-driven momentum to a scalable platform built to support its next chapter, a pan-European expansion.

How Invera accelerated Entrio’s transformation

Entrio Group’s transformation was built on four strategic pillars designed to unlock organic growth, expand regionally, diversify revenues, and create the infrastructure required for long-term scale. Together, these pillars reshaped the company into the leading regional ticketing and events platform.

Driving organic growth through stronger value proposition

Entrio focused on maximising organic growth by elevating the value delivered to its existing organisers. The company built a stronger commercial engine focused on larger scale B2B clients - combining proactive sales, tailored financing solutions, advanced data insights and superior platform sales reach. This positioned Entrio as the central intelligence layer for organisers, championing them to grow faster and run more successful events.

Expanding regionally through consolidation

Instead of growing around the fragmentation, Entrio moved to eliminate it. The company pursued targeted consolidation and strategic market entry - acquiring key players in core markets, selectively expanding into new geographies and vertically integrating along the value chain by managing own events. This approach accelerated Entrio Group’s regional presence and laid the groundwork for a unified events ecosystem.

Unlocking new revenue streams across the ecosystem

Entrio Group broadened its monetisation model by leveraging its fast-growing B2C traffic, industry-leading NPS scores and extensive organiser base. The company introduced new ways to monetise demand through upsell mechanisms, expanded reach and enhanced organiser performance through insights. These initiatives strengthened Entrio Group’s ecosystem role and expanded its revenue potential.

Building scalable infrastructure for the next decade

To support rapid expansion, Entrio Group invested in a professionalised, future-proof organisational and technological foundation. The company strengthened its management team, appointing a Group CEO and CFO and onboarding key talent across sales and technology. Entrio Group introduced a scalable organisational structure and streamlined core processes for cross-market execution. This shift brought clarity to roles, stability to execution, and the expertise needed to manage a scaling product, a growing team, and a multi-vertical business. In parallel, Entrio Group modernised its platform architecture and codebase, enabling faster development, advanced analytics, and efficient integration of future acquisitions.

These combined value creation initiatives transformed Entrio Group from a fast-growing venture into a structured, scalable platform - one equipped with the leadership, technology, and strategic clarity to consolidate the region and expand.

The results, and what’s to follow

Entrio Group’s transformation delivered more than market leadership - it reshaped how the company operates and competes. What began as a fast-moving venture is now a coordinated, scalable organisation with the structure and strategic clarity needed to lead a fragmented industry.

Entrio Group is today the largest ticketing provider in Croatia, a position secured only five months after Invera’s investment through the acquisition of Dekod, a competitor mainly specializing in sports and theatre. This move broadened Entrio Group’s client base beyond music and accelerated diversification into sports, theatre and cultural events.

With a stronger product, a professionalised leadership team, and a proactive, high-intensity commercial strategy, Entrio has shifted the balance of the entire market. Instead of reacting to legacy dynamics, the company now sets the regional industry standards. The company expanded its revenue model by monetising B2C traffic, introducing value-added services, strengthening upsell channels and leveraging own events to deepen its moat.

A defining milestone came in 2025, when Entrio Group broke the world record by selling nearly half a million tickets in just four days for the monumental Marko Perković concert at the Zagreb Hippodrome. The achievement demonstrated that Entrio’s platform can operate at global-scale performance, remaining stable under extreme demand.

Bottom line - Entrio Group is no longer just a ticketing provider. It is building the engine that powers the region’s live-events ecosystem, with momentum to expand beyond it.
