The Croatian Annual PE & VC Investment Awards Conference

The Croatian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (CVCA) organised BestInvest Croatia, a Croatian annual award ceremony for the best private equity and venture capital (PE&VC) investments, on July 6, 2021, in Zagreb. The conference connects investors and entrepreneurs with knowledge, ideas, and opportunities.

One of the speakers at the conference was the investment manager of Invera Equity Partners, Ivan Josipović. Among the representatives of the PE&VC industry at the conference were the president of CVCA, the Minister of the Economy and Sustainable Development, the president of the management board of the Croatian Bank for Reconstruction and Development (HBOR), and the head of Croatia at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

BestInvest Croatia presented the most significant developments in the private equity and venture capital industry in the last two years.

Some of the topics Ivan talked about were where the investment opportunities are, the changing landscape of Croatian private equity and venture capital opportunities, fundraising successes and difficulties, the realisation of exit strategies and private equity capital against possible COVID-19 capital shortages, and how private equity and venture capital investments can transform the Croatian economy and society.
